It's not you. It's me.

I'm decent at seeing the meaning authors, whether planned or not, hide in words. I can see the discussions of God in post-modern work, the social conflict in Chaucer, and gender roles-a-go-go in Revolution Lit.

But you? You I read, and all I can hear is the teacher from Peanuts, going, "Wah wah wah wah waa." I spend time just reading the words and stringing them into sentences and cannot arrange them in a form that accesses any deeper meaning.

I apologize for treating you like the waste of paper I viewed you as. If you could share yourself with me, enlighten me to your hidden layers, I would be forever grateful.
