~3 am to, well, now. I can function. We won't discuss that I had to sleep sitting up - literally propped up on the corner of the wall.

So, opinions. Sominex vs. Nytol vs. other otc? I'd ask herbal, but I wouldn't know where to look in Denton.

actually, if you want help getting to sleep with something that isn't addictive like almost every single sleep aid, you might try getting a prescription for a small dose of Trazadone.

It's an antidepressant, but the doc gave it to me as a sleeping aid when I wasn't sleeping well (before we found out it was apnea) because my family has a history of reacting badly to sleep aids (my sister and my uncles get hallucinations, and I didn't want to try that :P). The dose is like 15mg so it's not going to affect your mood/brain chemistry much. It's just enough to make you drowsy. My sleep improved when I was on it.

If it's a once in a while thing, then you could probably still go for the sleep aid, but if it's regular, then check out the trazadone...it's not addictive, which is the big plus, and it likely won't cause hallucinations :P.

read the ingredients on those sleeping pills.... some of them are the same as benedryl and sometimes benedryl is cheaper.
